Arbor Film Festival opens for its 16th year March 14 and runs through March 19 at the University of Michigan's Old Architecture and Design Auditorium. The 16 mm films submitted by independent producers and artists from throughout North America and overseas will comprise over 140 hours of total running time, out of which Festival officials select 25 to 30 hours for showing to Festival judges and the public. Public screenings will be at 7, 9, and 11 p.m. daily during the Festival in both the Old Architecture Auditorium and Auditorium A of Angell Hall. Single admission to a screening is $1.75, with tickets to be purchased on the day of screening. Series tickets at $20 are available in advance through the U-M Cinema Guild at regular night film presentations in the Old Architecture building. Claude “A Man and A Woman” LeLouch and Academy Award-winning animator Will Vinton are among those who have submitted films to the 1978 festival.
